Ronda Hair

Ronda Hair served as the CTE Specialist at the ALC for 10 years, where she became the trusted “go-to” person for all things Career and Technical Education. Today, she serves as the Nebo Career Center Facilitator, continuing her dedication to expanding opportunities and supporting students across the district.

When asked what a CTE Specialist is, Ronda laughed and shared: “It’s the good, the bad, the ugly, and the beautiful! I have loved being the CTE go-to person at the ALC. Supporting teachers in their classrooms and working with students on planning their future has been very rewarding.”

Ronda says what she loved most about her time as a CTE Specialist was working directly with students and helping them plan their next steps. Whether mapping out graduation plans, exploring career pathways, or preparing for life after high school, she found great fulfillment in guiding students toward a bright future.

She is also deeply grateful for the educators she worked alongside. “I have had the privilege of working with some amazing teachers who have taught me so much. I am so much better at my job because of the influence and example of excellent educators and leaders.”

Outside of work, family is at the heart of everything for Ronda. She and her husband, David, are the proud parents of four children and a bonus niece. They also have 12 grandchildren and four bonus grandchildren! Their favorite thing to do is simply be together—laughing, playing games, and enjoying delicious food. Ronda enjoys biking, hiking, cooking, and hopes to soon spend more time sewing. Her favorite holiday is Easter, especially because it brings family together. Gathering with loved ones is what she treasures most.

Ronda loves to travel and explore new places. When her daughter lived in Boston, she cherished every visit—exploring the sights and soaking in the rich history of the area. She also had the opportunity to visit Chichen Itza with her husband, an experience she describes as amazing. Learning about the history of that part of the world, combined with relaxing by the pool and enjoying her favorite beverages, made it unforgettable.

If Ronda ever won the lottery, she says she would pay off all the family mortgages and take a massive family trip. For her, experiences together mean more than anything.

One of the best pieces of advice Ronda has ever received came from a cousin who told her that the most important thing in life is relationships. Over time, she has learned to let go of things that could cause rifts and instead focus on what truly matters—people. She also recalls a powerful moment when a colleague gently asked her why she cared so much during a stressful situation. That simple question prompted reflection and helped her refocus on what really mattered. Ronda deeply appreciates the wisdom she has received over the years and strives to prioritize relationships in every aspect of her life.

We are grateful for Ronda’s decade of service as a CTE Specialist, and for the leadership she now provides as the Nebo Career Center Facilitator. She truly embodies the heart of CTE.
