For 16 years, Sarah Call has been making a difference in the lives of students as a CTE Specialist at Landmark High School. Her passion for helping students discover what comes next after high school is at the heart of everything she does.
When asked what it means to be a CTE Specialist, Sarah shared: “A CTE specialist helps students look at what is next after high school. Provide information about next step options — MTECH, university, apprenticeships, careers, and jobs. Support CTE teachers and programs and testing.”
Sarah plays a key role in helping students explore opportunities such as Mountainland Technical College (MTECH), universities, apprenticeships, and direct career pathways. She also supports CTE teachers, programs, and testing to ensure students have the tools they need to succeed.
What she loves most about her job is simple — working with students. “I love it when they see what they can accomplish and get excited about what they get to do. I have had a couple of students come back to tell me what they have accomplished because I encouraged and believed they could do it.” Those moments — when students realize their potential — are what make her work so meaningful.
Outside of school, Sarah enjoys some of life’s simple pleasures: chocolate and a cold Diet Pepsi or Diet Dr Pepper are at the top of her favorites list. Her favorite place she has visited is beautiful Alaska, where the scenery and adventure left a lasting impression.
When it comes to holidays, she especially loves Christmas and Memorial Day — times centered around family, reflection, and celebration.
If she ever won the lottery, Sarah wouldn’t hesitate — she would travel and explore even more of the world.
Nebo School District is grateful for Sarah’s 16 years of dedication, encouragement, and belief in students. Her support helps students see their potential — and their future — more clearly.
