Robyn Dunn is the CTE Specialist for Maple Mountain High School, Mapleton Junior High, and Maple Grove Middle School. She and her husband, Scott, are proud parents of five children and grandparents to two.
Robyn has been a CTE Specialist for over 13 years and describes her role with a smile:
"Sometimes it's like being a professional cat-herder. I support all CTE programs behind the scenes by coordinating and overseeing collaboration, pathways, curriculum, internships, testing, purchasing, recruiting, promoting CTE & CTSOs, managing concurrent enrollment, and troubleshooting whatever pops up—all while supporting teachers and students. I work closely with teachers, students, administrators, and counselors to build a cohesive team focused on helping students gain workplace skills, earn industry credentials, and take advantage of meaningful opportunities. And, of course, other duties as assigned..."
What Robyn loves most about her job is the variety:
"Every day is different. I love working with the CTE teachers and counselors at my schools and helping students. I never know what question I'm going to be hit with, and although it gets kind of crazy, I really enjoy the constant problem-solving and resolving issues. I love my coworkers (ok, 95% of them!) and I love my school and working with students."
When she’s not at work, Robyn enjoys Diet Coke, quilting, reading, Sunday naps, treats from Sip'N, and spending time with her family. Some of her favorite travel memories are from Alaska and Canada, and her favorite holiday is Christmas.
If she won the lottery, Robyn says:
"Depends on how big of a payout it is… Donate to charity, start a scholarship at my school, buy a small house for my parents to live close to me (or a bigger house for me with an ADU), take my family on a big vacation, buy a truck, and set up college funds for my grandkids."
The best advice Robyn has ever received?
"Try everything! Don’t limit yourself to what you think you’re capable of."
Maple Mountain High School, Mapleton Junior High, and Maple Grove Middle School are lucky to have Robyn Dunn’s energy, experience, and dedication leading their CTE programs.
