Tyler

Tyler Lewis is in his 3rd year as a CTE Specialist at Spanish Fork High School. In addition to supporting SFHS, he also works with Spanish Fork Junior High and Diamond Fork Middle School. He and his wife, Lisa, are proud parents of three kids, and they love traveling together and cheering on their kids in all their hockey adventures.

When asked what a CTE Specialist does, Tyler explains:
"The CTE Specialist works with CTE teachers and all students to promote CTE programs, pathways, and internships. We support CTE programs with career exploration, future education options, and industry connections, while collaborating with teachers, counselors, administrators, and industry partners to ensure students are prepared for future education and employment."

What Tyler loves most about his job is the variety of ways he can help students and teachers. From teaching internship students and organizing guest speakers to planning field trips and presenting in classrooms about career opportunities, no two days are the same.

Tyler is an explorer at heart. When he’s not traveling with his family, he enjoys off-roading in his blue Jeep in Moab—Sour Patch Watermelons in hand. Of all the places he’s visited, Iceland stands out as his favorite.

Tyler’s favorite holiday is Christmas—perhaps Christmas in Iceland would be extra magical! And if he won the lottery, he jokes, he’d: “Buy upgrades to my Jeep, pay off the house, and buy a bag of Sour Patch Watermelons.”

The best advice Tyler has ever received?
"The master has failed more times than the beginner has even tried."

Spanish Fork High School, Junior High, and Diamond Fork Middle School are lucky to have such an energetic, adventurous, and dedicated CTE Specialist on their team!Tyler #2
